Neal is recognized nationally for over 50 years of innovation in population-based and corporate health management and engagement. He is a noted speaker, writer, program creator. Neal commercialized the first & largest telephonic smoking cessation coaching program in the United States, Free & Clear and The Right Track, the first telephonic diabetes coaching service in the U.S. He was responsible for early health related social networking platforms including the American Cancer Society's Cancer Survivors Network and a community for caregivers confronting end of life care for family and friends for the National Cancer Institute. He has served as the head of innovation for two health plans and been the CEO of 3 health behavior change start-ups. Neal is currently the CEO Emeritus of tuzag, Inc., a conversational relationship AI driven omni-channel health activation and navigation company. His focus is consistently on how to apply technology to extend the reach and richness of individual and community behavior change interventions, focusing on the human, not just the risk.
Neal’s hands are also covered in clay as a working potter/sculpture and has done stand-up comedy in a vaudeville show.
